Oblivion offers plenty of opportunities to exercise outdoor sports at the peaceful country side. You can go hiking in the forests of the farm and at the nearby swamp of Viurusuo and in the end of the summer and autumn to pick berries and mushrooms (e.g. boleti). You can jog along the country roads and the small road leading to it. You can swim and fish in the lake Juojärvi (at the distance of five kilometers) and smaller kids can sometimes even swim in the small river nearby.

In Outokumpu there are a lot of summer festivities and from Oblivion you can make trips by car to Joensuu, Kuopio, national park of Koli, Bomba house in Nurmes, the ateljee and church of the artist Eva Ryynänen in Lieksa and the soap stone factories in Juuka (www.nunnauuni.com and www.tulikivi.com) and shoot the rapids of Ruunas or paddle or fish there, etc.

Oblivion is a farm´s main building heated with wood and electricity. It consists of big kitchen with a big baking owen, bedroom, smaller bedroom and walk-in clothes closet and toilet. There exists place to sleep at least for six persons. The shower is downstairs. In the kitchen there are besides the wood heated range also stove, refrigerator, micro wave owen and coffee maker plus basic kitchenware. In a detached building exists sauna which is heated by wood.
